Steve VanStrien
General Manager, Northern Kentucky Division
With hundreds of successful projects, Steve is well known in the steel and chemical industry. Starting with United in 1998, Steve began his career as a pipefitter and has worked his way up the ladder since then. In 2000 Steve took on the role of Foreman, in 2004 he became a Site Superintendent, 2007 a Shop Estimator, along with becoming a Project Manager in 2011, and finally, in 2021 he became the Northern Kentucky Division manager. Steve is a great example of how you can work your way up in a company and build a long and successful career.

Steve started pipefitting in 1991 and worked for several companies prior to United. Since joining the United team Steve has attended multiple continued education programs that include: a project management class through NCCER, ABC (Associated Builders & contractors) Leaders Program, conflict management, business ethics, change management, and excavation competent person training as well. Steve currently has multiple maintenance customers and a large volume of work under contract and is always willing to put the work in to get the job done right.
