Tate & Lyle – Installation of new WWTF Inside Existing Plant
Project overview
Tate & Lyle had been working to reposition itself as a growth-focused global specialty food and beverage solutions business. During this time, they needed to expand their wastewater treatment facility inside of its existing Dayton, Ohio, location. Being a leader in the industry, United Group Services has the experience not only with fabrication, but also equipment setting, HVAC, structural steel, and rigging.
Challenge
During the work, United Group Services installed 9,012 feet of utility and process piping, 38 various pieces of equipment/tanks, and coordinated between fabrication, installation, HVAC/Mechanical, and insulation crafts – all without interfering with Tate & Lyles’ day-to-day production.
Solution
Utilizing decades of experience in the industry, United Group Services helped finalize the design, coordinated with subcontractors, fabricated and installed all the necessary piping, then seamlessly tied the system into the existing plant with minimal downtime required for the facility. This expansion allowed the company to expand its capacity, increasing their productivity, and their bottom line.
